I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Health Psychology from Brigham Young University–Idaho and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I’m a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in Arizona, and I primarily work with children and youth through play therapy.
I believe therapy doesn’t always have to look like sitting still and talking about feelings — sometimes it looks like building, creating, imagining, and even a little strategic game-playing. I use play to help children express big emotions, build confidence, and develop tools they can use in everyday life. My approach is person-centered, sprinkled with solution-focused and existential ideas, and grounded in the belief that each person is the expert of their own story.
I work closely with families because lasting change doesn’t just happen in the therapy room — it happens at home, at school, and in the in-between moments of daily life.
Outside of work, you can usually find me playing with my own young children, digging in the garden, hiking a trail, camping, or happily soaking up any excuse to be outdoors.
