Hi, I’m Corrina. I’m currently working on my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Western New Mexico University. Prior to entering the counseling field, I worked as an engineer, which shaped my natural systems and processing mindset. That background now informs my clinical work, where I hold space for clients to express their thoughts, emotions and behaviors and explore how they interact within the larger context of their lives.
My approach is collaborative, direct, and grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I focus on helping clients identify patterns, build awareness, and develop practical skills for everyday life. I believe that people don’t need to be “fixed,” just supported in a space where their experiences make sense. I know therapy can be intimidating. I’ve been there. It doesn’t have to be serious 24/7. Don’t be afraid to crack jokes or verbally unload the past week. I am familiar with combing through chaos. I aim to meet clients where they are and hopefully give you a place to process safely.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy organizing my home, learning new things, and spending time with family.
